Tips

  • Practice!

Start with basic equations, and work in more difficult ones. Math skills are like any skill. If you don’t use it often, it becomes more challenging

  • Find a Friend

There are often local study groups that you can connect with. If you can’t find one, organize one.

  • Do it Yourself

When you have a difficult task, it is very tempting to find someone that is an “expert” that can do it for you. With a little bit of extra time, and research if necessary, you can become that expert.

  • Learn and Then Explain

According to psychiatrist William Glasser, How We Learn:

    • 10% of what we READ
    • 20% of what we HEAR
    • 30% of what we SEE
    • 50% of what we SEE and HEAR
    • 70% of what is DISCUSSED with OTHERS
    • 80% of what is EXPERIENCED PERSONALLY
    • 95% of what we TEACH TO SOMEONE ELSE
